The Eternal Flame

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral • Domains: Tempest, Nature, Life   The primordial of elemental fire, the Eternal Flame keeps our hearth radiant and warm, gives us the means to heat our forges and cook our meals, but its raw power is so grand, the very sun in our sky exists due to the Eternal Flame. Fire is pivotal in the survival of all races, travellers prey to the Eternal Flame on cold nights to keep them warm, smith's praise the Eternal Flame to allow the forging of their crafts, in contrast, fire represents destruction, war, and violence. Fury, ambition and passion are birthed from primordial fire, when individuals conjure their will to persevere, to push on, it is their inner fire that carries them forward. The Eternal Flame is depicted as a figure wreathed in fire, emitting the heat of a star, with an expression of rage and fervour. The Eternal Flames holy day is spring equinox, on the twenty first day of the third month, the end of winter and welcoming of spring and warmth. The nations of the north celebrate this holy day with a fire festival with fire breathers and fire juggling performers, community feasts with large roasts over open fires, at dusk the festival concludes with a great bonfire where the people share stories, take time to look into the fire silently, lost in their thoughts they ponder their motivations and goals before embracing their neighbors at the festivals end.   Commandments of the Eternal Flame:   Never turn your back on a challenge, emit your will until your flame goes out.   Do everything in life with the utmost passion and effort
