Tiberius didn't think they would find silver in the lake. Ever. But what was the harm in splashing around in the water with his friends?

Summary

There is a common belief held by many folk that live around the Silver Reservoir that deep beneath the waters lie massive veins of silver that the Calderian Empire has been secretly mining for years.
It is all folk tales and wishful thinking. No one has ever found silver or sunken treasure in the Silver Reservoir.

Historical Basis

The myth began shorty after the start of the War of Calderian Expansion. Originally the lake had been called the Silver Reservoir because of a species of great silver scaled fish that has since then been fished into extinction. As generations forgot about the fish, more nefarious conspiracies have sprouted.

Variations & Mutation

The main superstition is that veins of silver rests in the deepest parts of the lake. Other believed reasons for the name include: The lake is where the empires leaders stash wealth by dumping it into the lake, a long forgotten Arokath  pirate had a ship full of silver that sank in it's waters, and the belief that the gods will turn a chalice full of water into silver if you are devout enough.
