The Gallan Empire
"Some who visit (the empire) will remark on its quaint, peaceful farmland and homey citizens, others will rebuff them as prideful and overbearing, yet more still will be dazzled by the untamed jungles and dangerous wildlife. The reality is, the Gallan Empire is all of these things and more, for each of its isles are more different than the last, as if they were their own, independent kingdoms. For this reason, it is known as an empire."

In all, roughly 6 million people inhabit the Isles of Gallan.

Legislative Body
The Hall of Lords, designed to convene once per year, is a collection of the highest royalty in the Empire. In a session, each present is able to bring up issues, laws, vetoes, and more. They typically last a week, with some only lasting two days or up to three weeks. At the end, the new changes to the legislative body are brought to the Emperor or Empress, who has the ultimate authority on whether or not the changes take hold. Precisely one month after any changes are signed into being, they take legal effect, known as Bill day.
Judicial Body
Each town and city has at least one judiciary. Such positions are elected by the represented citizenry, the only elected position in the government. The judiciaries act as judges, they hold court, interpret laws, and pass judgement. The lord of that land, who pays the judge, can choose to remove the judiciary from office, but only after their next judgement. After which, a new judge is elected, and must stay in office for a minimum of two months.
