Arlyr

Arlyr has two continents Sourid and Velderai on it's surface. Velderai is the continent which nearly everyone lives on. Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Dragonborn, Gnomes, Halflings, Half elves, Half orcs, and Tieflings along with small minority races all live on Velderai. However on the other continent Sourid nearly no one lives there and those who have don't live for long. Its a wasteland completely devoid of life nothing but bare rock and sand stretching across the continent. Those who've been near say it feels as if your very life force is being rapidly drained from there.   There are three ancient gods who are more like forces. Alacram is the god of Life, Moroes is the god of Death, and Myst is the god of Arcane. Alacram lets energy into the Arlyr while Moroes takes energy out of the Arlyr. It's through this dichotomy that one of the continents is rich with life and the other is completely devoid of life. Alacram is the sun which revolves around Arlyr and Moroes is the moon which also revolves around Arlyr. The empty space seen at night is the Aethum and the stars are holes that let some of the energy from the Aethum onto Arlyr.   The races of Arlyr partially live together. Humans dominate having the largest population meaning that kingdoms on Velderai are all owned by humans, however these kingdoms only spread so far and its in those areas which aren't occupied where other races have their own areas distinct to their cultures, ancient forests are occupied by the elves, Tall towering mountains are occupied by dwarves, dragonborn occupy deep cavern areas, halflings in remote rural villages, and gnomes underground in hilly wooded lands. The races keep to themselves usually, unless there's a human settlement where they will congregate with one another. Humans don't usually interfere with other races own areas but they do squabble over their own land.
