Arka Valos
Arka Valos is gritty planet that orbits a binary star often called The Stratos and Castos, or "castratti" if you want to be crude. The stars spiral around one another, and Arka Valos orbits this duet. There are some points on the planet that reach hellish temperatures, and others that plunge beyond freezing as a result of this chaotic arrangement. It is in the honey zones - the temperate zones between these two extreme climates that most of the worlds inhabitants live. Or rather, are dumped. There are a dozen or more Prison Gates - or "shit'oles" that constantly drop individuals onto the planet. Most know why they were exiled to Arka Valos, most don't care, and there are been many who have tried to climb back up and out of these gates, never to return. The world is a mix of species from across space, all trying to survive in these difficult times...
