Zairadin Fall

The Seat of Foreign affairs (a.k.a. The Puppet Master)

  • Zairadin was born and raised in the capital city of Midnus to nobles, apart of a rich house, and raised to be a great man.
  • He was eventually voted in as the Seat of Foreign Affairs and went all across the continent to try and forge connections with other Realms.
  • He's also known the Seat of Law, Sugar Macara, for most of his life. She affectionately calls him, "Zair Head", but has no idea about any of his involvement with the Underworld.
  • After the war with Katerina, Midnus' economy and armies were both crippled, leading to a depression that was felt across Midnus. This lead to several characters' tragic lives including: Dante Night, Boro, Cecil, and others.
  • The Fox Rebellion led to The Council being even more strained and spending a majority of it's time deliberating instead of acting. And if it does act, Minnie is often the one who leads it, who he hates.
  • Zairadin wanted to help Midnus as a whole by any means necessary and asked every other Realm for support. But after the war they didn't have a good economy and they didn't have much to trade.
  • The one resource they had access to that could help them was Steel Silk, but Flowers has access to the largest and best webs, so Realms look there for the best Steel Silk and Midnus for cheaper products.
  • In his years in office, he involved himself with the Underworld on several occasions, but only those with plenty of resources could track him down. One person who did was Finch.
  • Finch told Zairadin that the Capital would purchase child slaves for a high price (Because the Stanton Facilities require test subjects).
  • Zairadin accepts and hires Lousha to run the actual Slave House and to deal with the trade and capture of children. This influx of cash does a lot of good for Midnus, and he doesn't care how he got it.
  • Finch eventually poses another idea to Zairadin, for him to coerce the Council into fighting a war with Flowers, or to at least draw out the army. After this, Finch said he would send reinforcements, because Edrice and Drist were going to be fighting, so they weren't worried about an invasion. The goal is to create a terrible situation and then kill the Flowers Royal line and the Midnus Council. Then, Zairadin wouldn't worry about red tape and could help however he wanted.
  • Thing is, Finch is planning to double cross Zairadin. He plans not to send aid, and to let the two armies kill themselves before swooping in and taking both Realms for nothing while Drist and Edrice are busy.
  • He also uses Sugar's knowledge of the law and possibly her signature to make sure none of his higher-ups ever had to deal with punishment. He also frames her, making it appear that she's the one in charge of the Slave House.
  • He thinks that all of the pain and suffering he caused is worth it for how prosperous they've started to become.
  • After some time, Finch and Zairadin hire the Eternal Choir (Or Finch may have hired them of his own volition and frames Midnus for the assassination plot). They're sent to Flowers to Kill their royal line, who Finch knows is loyal to Melody, and to keep the Dancing Blades in Midnus for as long as possible.
  • The Choir invades Flowers and attempts to kill the Queen, but are forced to kill the King as well when he stumbled into the room. Before anymore harm could be done, they were discovered.
  • The Choir managed to escape, but not before nearly beating Lorelei in a fight (More than 1 vs 1), proving just how strong they are.
  • After this the Dancing Blades and Lorelei agree they need people they can trust to help them with the Choir, and if Gill is there doing surgery on the King Of Mages, he might tell Cam where Melody was last headed when they were separated. They also know that Inverness and Drist are fighting with Edrice and can't help.
  • After the assassination fails, Ophelia is crowned the new Queen, and her first act is send forces to the Bloody Field, in case Midnus attacks. This leads Midnus to put its own army in place in case Flowers attacks.
  • A standstill takes place, with both armies staring each other down, waiting for a signal.
  • Zairadin receives a letter from Lousha explaining they found a girl wo matches Melodies description even though she may be thought dead, and Zairadin writes back telling her to guard her with extreme caution. He says that Melody could easily beat Boro and the whole staff at once without any trouble, though Lousha is already dead when the message is sent.
  • Zairadin may increase the security in the city and inform the guards she may be through, leading to Melody wearing a disguise made by Tel.
  • At the standstill, Melody and her friends run into General Murrow, who captures Sophie (and possibly others) taking them to the Capital city.
  • Soon, Melody and her friends come to the Capital City where Zairadin runs into them (Possibly with other people) helping them find a secret passage into the Spider Catacombs that lead to Flowers. He does this hoping that the Spiders will kill them.
  • (Maybe after the Eternal Choir is beaten) Zairadin goes to Flowers with the rest of the Council on a diplomatic mission to try and avoid all out war, pleading their case for why they didn't send the Eternal Choir after the Royal line.
  • While in Flowers, Melody and her friends figure out that Zairadin was the one in charge of the Eternal Choir. This leads to his capture, disbandment from the Council, and he's either sentenced to the Chasm or death.
  • He may send a message to Finch explaining the situation with Melody and Jonah, as well as how they're planning to go to Katerina.
  • Finch may send another assassin to try and kill him, which may succeed or fail.
  • This leads Midnus and Flowers to develop a closer bond and to be warry of Finch. Both Realms also unofficially become aligned with Melody.
  • Ophelia hates Finch like nobody else after this event, and she wants vengeance, and he knows it.
  • Finch may have sent another group to steal Silvester the Slicks Journal, or Melody may get it.
  • 8th and 9th Seats may be created after this incident.
