Mystical Mechanics: Bolt Multiplier Engine

The MM:BMEs are designed to power arcane technology. They can vary in size from 4 inches across to 20 feet in diameter. Each one uses lightning crystal cores and focus crystal pylons to generate power. The power is generated by the lightning core discharging a bolt of lightning through a series of focus crystals that multiply the power. The more focuses the more powerful the energy becomes, with the downside of becoming exponentially more unstable. The R&D wizard team at Mystical Mechanics, discovered that the most efficient, in power and safety, is a 1(core), 4(focus), 16(focus), 64(terminal) pattern in concentric rings.

Utility

It is used as a power source for Mystical Mechanics products. If the outer shell is broken or the crystal core damaged, they have been known to cause explosions of magical lightning.

Manufacturing

The crystals must be placed in then manually aligned so that the power is sufficiently directed. Cores do not need alignment.
