Argania

Welcome to Argania. A few years ago, the world was saved from a necromancer who tried to take over the world in the name of Asmodius, ruler of the Nine Hells. However, four heroes, now forever in legend, rose to save the world and stop the necromancer. Their names were Ulfgar, the Dwarf Fighter, Theala, the Human Cleric, Hoid, the Bard of a Thousand Titles, and Elanis, the Elf Wizard. After a long and winding campaign, they amassed an army and defeated the necromancer on the battlefield, and then went into the Nine Hells and destroyed Ba’alzamon himself. And then the realm rejoiced. For a while. Then, about three years later, things started sucking again. The heroes did everything you’re supposed to do in a campaign. They convinced the isolationist High Elves to join the battle. They took down a corrupt ruler and restored the rightful king to his place in Galladeron. They toppled a dark kingdom threatening the plane’s very existence. Hoid spent the entire time writing this down whenever there was a fight. However those actions all have consequences. The High Elves are now on the brink of extinction. The Half-Elves were all banished from Argania in the fighting after they were seen fighting some of the more powerful demons, when Asmodius cast a spell to banish from this world, never to return. The king of Galladeron is a terrible ruler. The dwarven factions are fighting amongst themselves and causing more trouble than ever before. Everyone is on the hunt for Hoid’s notes like each word is worth a platinum. This world is morally grey and has many, many problems, plenty of which were caused by the heroes that “saved” it. Now it’s you guys’ jobs to fix the mess that these “heroes” created.   Now, the people in this are aware of the mechanics of this world. They don’t know that they’re being controlled by us, but they do know about the rest of the mechanics of this world.
