The Goldstaff
The wizard's staff known as the Goldstaff is a powerful artifact comparable to a Staff of Power or Staff of the Magi. It is the namesake for the office of the Goldstaff of Brightridge, and is passed from one holder of that office to the next upon death.
The staff contains the souls of all prior Goldstaffs. The current bearer of of the Goldstaff can commune with these souls, and the presiding Goldstaff of Brightridge communes with these souls in the service of their duty.
