The Archives of Brightridge
The public collection of public records and history in the city of Brightridge is known as the Archives. It is kept in a temple-like structure in the Castle Ward. Contents are not allowed to be removed from the Archives, but copies can be produced for a fee. The towering stacks appear to be very organized and well-kept.
Although the Archives are open to the public, there is a restricted section which guests are not permitted to enter. It is protected by magical alarm wards, and watched by powerful wizards from the Order of Magists and Protectors. Those authorized to enter the area wear magical necklaces that allow them to enter without triggering the alarm; all of the historians seen in the Archives wear such a necklace, though clerical staff do not.
