Legion Of The Lionheart

"Welcome back adventurer. Ah, so you wish to develop your skills to better survive? Formal training then. Well, I personally recommend an ally of the Lazurite Academy, The Legion Of The Lionheart. Tell them Flame sent you."   Ah, the Legion of the Lionheart. Good people. Stalwart allies and brave souls all. Founded by a group of adventurers known as the Intrepid. Lead and founded by the Tiefling Warlock called Trouble. The guild is based on Firewatch Island, where all members receive their training.    Acceptance is not an easy matter however. Those willing to join must first pay an entrance fee of 25 GP and submit to a series of tests. During the tests, they are submitted to multiple spells and enchantments as well as magical effects. Essentially the merit of their soul and the truth of their hearts. Should their souls have the taint of evil or their hearts be found impure, they shall be rejected. Applicants who have been rejected have never been seen again. Rumors say their souls were extracted from their bodies and given to the Lazurite Academy as to ensure evil does not prosper. Some say this is a mandate of the gods and enforced by them. Others however, say they simply return to their simple lives. None know for certain.    Regardless, should they become accepted, their training begins. It is during the training of the basics that their aptitudes are determined. The teachers will advise them on which they would become excellent in but their own choices are always taken into account. Regardless, they choose their field of expertise and they are assigned to a master of that field. Their master then becomes their mentor throughout their adventuring career, ever ready to advise and conduct advanced training.    Once training has been completed, each adventurer is given a seal denoting their membership to the guild and their rank as well. With the paying of their dues, the seals will be "recharged" by mages of the guild to verify it's legitimacy. Contracts and requests for aid will be given to guild members based on their demonstrated capability.   Those beginning their lives as adventurers will be given the rank of Initiate. While in this rank, they must pay monthly dues of 5 GP to the guild. They will gain access to the guild's safehouses for rest at no cost, as well as access to the guild's stores. They may purchase basic weapons and armor as well as basic Healing Potions. All items are at a 5% discount.   Those who have demonstrated a mastery of the basics and have handled several contracts without failure will be promoted to the rank of Journeyman. As such, their dues increase to 30 GP per month. In addition to this, they will be granted better weapons and armors the guild has in it's stores, Greater Healing Potions and a few other potions as well. All items are discounted at 10%.    For the members who have completed great deeds and dangerous contracts, they are granted the rank of Warrior. Their dues become 100 GP per month. This also grants them access to some Magical Items and more potent potions like Potions of Superior Healing. All items are at a 15% discount.   The few members who have accomplished deeds worthy of legend, completed contracts that were seen as almost impossible and have brought great honor to the guild are promoted to the rank of Knight. Their dues increase to 250 GP per month and they are given access to the guild store's supply of Magical Weapons, Armor, Items and the strongest of Potions like the Potion of Supreme Healing. All items are given a 20% discount.   The rare members who have completed deeds that caught the attention of kings, queens, gods and goddesses, who have completed tasks and have become legends in their own right, are met with the Founder of the Legion and granted promotion to Council. Those at this rank pay a due of 350 GP per month and are granted access to every item and potion in the guild store at a 25% discount to all. Should they choose, they can open their own school in a new location, become teachers within the academy or establish a new guild house and become it's Guild Master there. Should they choose any of the three, they no longer pay dues and are instead given a salary.
