Cathedral of Saint Pellanistra the Reaper of Souls

Within Masgala City, there is a Cathedral. It's walls seem normal from afar, it is not until one wanders close that you realize the walls are made of humanoid bone. Piles of upon piles of them, stacked atop one another that seem chaotic but yet still form a symmetrical shape. Somehow, they have even been fused to one another as though they are no longer several bones stacked upon one another, no, they are one solid mass that stands 20 feet tall with what appears to be sharpened rib cages that make up the top of these walls adding yet another deterrent to any would be trespasser. Despite all this, it is not the walls that send shivers down your back, no. It is in fact, the Cathedral itself. The Cathedral is made of nothing but skulls of varying races, Human, Orc, Elf, Dwarf, Gnome, Dragon, Pixies and Giant Apes. Skulls of every kind make up the building in it's entirety. Even so, many flock to this place in search of healing, salvation from death and to burn away their sins. It is indeed a hallowed place to the goddess of Fire, Death, Disease and Sky. It is here, her followers find safety. It is within the catacombs of this place, the largest catacombs in the city, are buried the dead of all. Poor or rich, strong or weak, wise or foolish, intelligent or stupid, brave or coward it matters not. All who die are for her to claim.                                                                                                                                                                                                        The Cathedral of Saint Pellanistra the Reaper of Souls is aptly named. Saint Pellanistra was a master artist in the craft of death. Long before her participation in the War of Souls, she was an assassin of the church who had no equal. It is said that even The Black Hand feared her. It was her reputation alone that ensured no kingdom or ruler would ever even consider laying siege to the holy city of Protos Naos. Despite her skills in the art of death she was no mere assassin for hire you see. No, she found a calling in the church and was drawn to the goddess of death herself, Ameriel. It was this same calling that compelled her to join the ranks of holy warriors in the War of Souls. During her service in battle, she assassinated a Demon Lord of the Abys. No easy feat as this required her to travel into the Abys, find her target and kill him. Not only was she able to do this, but returned in time for the final climactic battle that ensured the mortal warriors of the realm had won but not without a great cost. Pellanistra herself destroyed the bodies of 6 Pit Fiends before finally being slain in combat. Even so Ameriel herself, preserved her soul and brought her body back to her comrades in arms. Preventing the demons and devils from attaining their trophy. She was taken to Masgala City where her body was entombed within the crypts of her namesake Cathedral in accordance with the wishes of her goddess. It is said she remains there still. Waiting to be called once again to kill elusive or well protected high value targets.
