Herford, the City at the Edge of the World
The Edge of the World Player's Guide
This town is the home base of the player characters for this adventure. Herford has been isolated from the rest of civilization for a while, and so the city will be fairly empty at first. Over time, more people will be attracted to the amount of wealth flowing through the town, such as merchants, artisans, and mercenaries who want a piece of the action.
In addition to this, using the Strongholds and Followers 5e supplement, and a little bit of homebrew rules by me, the player characters will be able to invest their wealth into the town to build new buildings, hire new professionals, research new spells, and more. This page itself will act as the "home base" for you, as the player, in between adventures. Here you will see new contracts waiting to be fulfilled, the merchants you can buy from and sell to (and their stocks), and any other useful information you could need.
You might want to bookmark this page, because you should be able to access everything necessary for the campaign from this page.
See the @[Upgrading Herford]) page for info on how to improve the city.

Fine, I'll make one more supply run to Herford, but let me tell you this, sir. I've got to take an armed group of no less than fifteen trained mercenaries to make that trip alive. I'm barely scraping a profit out of this nonsense! My last trip I lost five of those men and women to a Basilisk attack, and the rest demanded double pay for their losses! If you ask me, those people over there at the Edge of the World should pack their wagons and move back to civilized land. A pox on them for trying to make a life out there. What kind of life is it living amongst goblins and orcs and wondering each and every day if you'll live to see the sun set.-A merchant who's far to fed up with the wilderness
