Architecture
The Gate of Azuth is a large archway set into the side of the rock face of the mountain around which Al Kimran was built. It is approximately 20 feet tall and made out of a combination of granite, basalt, and silver. The archway itself is inscribed with many runes in varying sizes. The runes themselves are coated in silver and platinum, which has not tarnished at all over the centuries. The keystones are very large granite stones that emit a slight heat constantly. Around the outside edges of the stone arch grows flowering vines called Kanium Vines. They have grown over the years to cover the entire cliff face, only slightly encroaching upon the outer few inches of the arch.
History
The Gate of Azuth was created by the archmage Azuth Selnao at the end of the Great Desolation. It was the centerpiece of the final battle of the Great Desolation, the Battle of Al Kimran. In the following centuries, it was impeccably preserved, along with the rest of Al Kimran.
