Speller

One who spells.
A speller, technically, is anyone who can spell; but it is also a term for one who is employed (usually by a lord or merchant) to script and read spells. Some spellers are the failed students of Wizards, and as such have some understanding of maths, histories, and a smattering of other disciplines. Some spellers are magicians, and some magicians spellers, but there is no necessary overlap.
There are male spellers in Milos and Monos, nobles who do not trust women to do their spelling for them, but none foolish enough to spell for money. Spelling is deemed a feminine action, and any man who spells would have his fitness indicted.
