Governor of Azmarin Petryn Alenyath
Petryn was born to Eltryn Alenyath, Matriarch of the Alenyath family. She grew up entrenched in the political sphere of Azmarin and knew from a young age that she would one day be governor. During her school days, she made an enemy of a classmate of hers, the mermaid Adra Remora. At the age of thirty-five, she was elected governor by a landslide, but now, eight years later, her support is slipping against her old rival, Remora.
Physical Description
Body Features
Shimmery, turquoise scales cover her skin. They're small--almost imperceptible--on her face, neck, hands, and feet; slightly larger on the rest of her body. Two thin, pinkish gills cover each side of her neck, and vertical fins run down the outside of her calves.
Facial Features
She has a long, narrow face, high cheekbones, and light green hair that is usually pulled into a tight French twist.
Physical quirks
She holds herself like royalty because, in a sense, she is. On the other hand, she gets flustered easily and smooths back her hair as a nervous habit.

She graduated with honors at one of the most prestigious universities in the realm, the Skylark Academy of Sylanta. At the age of thirty-five, she was elected governor of Azmarin, and as governor, she passed legislation to rebuild parts of the Serenity District without displacing tenants and oversaw the opening of Azmarin's skyport.
Failures & Embarrassments
In recent years (i.e. leading up to the next election), several prominent newspapers have run stories slandering her for, among other things, her alleged affair with Azmarin's druidmaster, potential financial kickbacks from her project of rebuilding the Serenity District, and her family's alleged cover-up of her cousin Kellen's arrest several years ago. It is unclear to what degree these stories are true or whether they are part of an elaborate attack ad by Adra Remora. Now, unsettling rumors are circulating regarding the Namoros Trident's sudden renovation.
