Tenets of Faith

Ukkonen encourages bravery to the point of foolhardiness. Her followers are expected to leap into battle enthusiastically, and with abandon. One maxim attributed to her is, “To win you must fight as if you're already dead.” This is a philosophy her followers take to heart. She also teaches that there is no such thing as a fair fight, and that in battle one should take any advantage one can. Beyond this Ukkonen doesn't have much doctrine.

Holidays

• Fight Day; 18th of Divy—on this day worshipers gather to fight. They usually start off by drinking and partaking of narcotics then wander the streets picking fights with random individuals

• Battle of Baltia; 7th of Epip—commemorates the great battle of Baltia

• Thunder Festival; 17th of Dhod—a time to drink, dance and bang on drums

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Ukkonen is in excellent physical condition, usually manifesting as a tall very muscular woman.

Body Features

Her skin is fair, almost pale. It said she has a birthmark shaped like a bolt of lightning on her left bicep. Her body is crisscrossed with numerous scars where she has taken the occasional wound.

Facial Features

She has a broad face with glittering eyes that only truly show joy when she is killing. Likewise her face is set in a perpetual scowl that only disappear in the throes of combat.

She usually dresses in light or medium weight armor, and wears leather underneath that. It is said that the leather for her garments comes from the skin of enemies she has personally slain. Her clothes are usually died in shades of red and grey.

Personal history

Ukkonen is the daughter of Utu and Eresu, and the twin sister of Rohkea. It is said that Ukkonen and Rohkea began fighting in the womb, even fighting over who would be born first. Rohkea won that first battle. Ukkonen's birth was heralded by a mighty storm that shook the realm of the gods.
As children Ukkonen and Rohkea were constantly fighting with one another, each striving to best the other. Usually Rohkea's calm and reasoned strategies would prevail over Ukkonen's hot headed berserk attacks. However, Ukkonen's willingness to fight dirty allowed her to win often enough to keep trying. At a young age Ukkonen befriended Asbu, son of Asmodeus and Meri. Though the two have much in common, Ukkonen takes great umbrage at being called Asbu's consort or anything else that might imply that she is anything other than Asbu's equal. Together the two plot the downfall of Rohkea and Kali.
During the godswar Ukkonen broke all ties with her parents and sided with Asmodeus and the other gods who wished mortals to be their slaves. She led a few of the initial battles until Asmodeus realized that her only tactic was to charge in swinging. She has since learned a little bit of tactics from Asbu, though she still prefers the direct approach.

Sexuality

Ukkonen can best be described as asexual. As far as anyone knows she has never taken a lover or a consort. It is believed that battle is her only love, and that the thrill of slaying her opponents thrills her more than any sexual experience could.

Failures & Embarrassments

Ukkonen’s only failure and one embarrassment is her inability to destroy her twin Rohkea. Rohkea, and her worshipers have defeated Ukkonen and her followers on nearly every occasion.

Intellectual Characteristics

Ukkonen is not stupid, however, she has a tendency to jump into things, especially battle, without thinking. She is brash and impetuous preferring action to thought. She enjoys destruction for the sake of destruction, and violence for the sake of violence. She is not, however, wholly unthinking. She can plan, and plan brilliantly, especially when dealing with her twin Rohkea. Of the pair, however Rohkea is the better strategist and tactician. She is quick to anger, and when angry quick to strike out at whatever is around her.

Morality & Philosophy

It’s not so much that Ukkonen is innately evil, however her lack of caring about good couple with her mercurial nature makes her tend to fall quite heavily on the evil end of the spectrum. She is destructive and violent, and vengeful, believing revenge is a dish best served immediately.

Motivation

Ukkonen’s primary motivation is destroy her hated twin Rohkea. The two have battled numerous times throughout the eons with ROhkea always the victor. Beyond that she lives for battle and destruction.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

Ukkonen is an extremely skilled warrior, and particularly adept with the great sword. However, she can competently use any weapon, including exotic ones, and is skilled at various unarmed combat styles. She is horrible at keeping her temper in check and is prone to going berserk at the slightest provocation.

• Ukonnen loves battles and storms, and especially battles during storms.

• She hates her twin sister Rohkea and her followers.

Contacts & Relations

Ukkonen's hot headed nature. She also gets along well with Meri and Mursu. Oddly she is not on good terms with Asmodeus, most likely because Asmodeus blames her for losing the godswar. As mentioned, she hates her twin Rohkea, and would like nothing better than to see her destroyed. She is also disliked by her parents Utu and Eresu as well as Bahamut who sees her as culpable in the death of Io. She is also opposed by Kello, Laki, and Vaalea. Azure is particularly antipathetic towards hers as well.

Ukkonen's servants consist primarily of demons of various sorts. Usually the more battle-oriented ones, as the subtle demons such as quasits and succubi dislike serving her. In addition, she has several unique servants;

• Myrsky—the storm rider, who drives her chariot

• Alraed—the thunderer, who leads her armies

• Hayij—the uncaring, the patron of berserkers

Ukkonen is the daughter of Utu and Eresu, and the twin sister of Rohkea. She is sibling to Vaalea, Mudutu, and Sinnis.

Social Aptitude

She can be a dynamic speaker when she chooses, which is seldom. She is filled to bursting with impatient energy seeking an outlet and prefers action to words. Yet she is strangely charismatic, possessing a rough beauty like a stroke of lightning. She has little concern with social niceties.
