Personal history

Eresu was formed from a vortex in chaos that stemmed from the primal battles of Utu and Asmodeous. She was the third of the primal deities to form, and at first avoided the battles between Utu and Asmodeous preferring to quietly shape the primal chaos into new and different forms. In time she chose to side with Utu as he seemed more amicable to her creations. Her taking sides shifted the balance of power to Utu, and Asmodeous departed to the pit to sulk.

Eresu created the First World with the help of Utu shaping it piece by piece as whim struck her, and Utu helping her to blend it into a harmonious whole. During her time creating the First World she dallied with Utu and had several children. Her first child was her daughter Vaalea who took great joy in singing and composing new songs. Afterwards was born her son Mudutu, who joined his mother in the creation of new things from the primal chaos. Next, she had the twin girls Rohkea and Ukkonen, the two of which immediately took to fighting. A brief dalliance with Io produced her son Vuori who, like Mudutu joined his mother in crafting new things. Last of all she and Utu had their daughter Sinnis who didn’t create new but recreated that which was already created.

Satisfied with her work on the First World, Eresu and her family began constructing their grand creation of Arda. Drawing from what they had learned in their creation of the First World they crafted Arda keeping what they liked from the First World. Satisfied with their creation Eresu began her greatest work the many races of Arda. The goal of their creation was to continue shaping the world little did they realize that their creation would trigger the godswar.

Utu and Eresu wished their new creations to be free to create as they saw fit, whereas Asmodeous wished them to be servants of the gods. The other gods took sides, some with Utu and Eresu and some with Asmodeous and war erupted. The war raged for and age ending only when Io sacrificed himself to save Utu from Asmodeous. The death of Io made Asmodeous realize his own potential for destruction and he accepted a compromise. The mortals would be given free will but Asmodeous would be free to lure those he could into his service.

With the godswar over Eresu rested sleeping for four months. Setting a pattern the world would follow with her awake for eight months and asleep for four. Since then godswar Eresu has spent her time nurturing the many creatures of Arda.
