Novel Anis

The Novel Anis is a day to celebrate the alignment of the eye of God upon the land of Arcos. Upon the end of this day, the new year begins.

History

No one really knows when this tradition came to be, however every men from the land of Arcos celebrates it. In a way or another.

Execution

The people of Arcos celebrate the coming of the new year differently all acros the planet. However, the most common practice is as the follows:

The people of the city gather around a Starlith. They wait until the starlith is perfectly aligned with the Eye of god and as soon as the light touches ground, the celebrations start and last for the rest of the night, until the day breaks. Fireworks, dances, feasts, beer and drugs are shared between the celebrants. It's a night of sharing, wishing eachother the best for the year to come and a night of gratitude. The Arcosians share stories of their previous year, tragedies and humourous events, catastrophies and miracles.

Components and tools

On the 31st of the 12th month the Starlith becomes perfectly aligned with the star called "God's eye". The Starlith becomes then aligned with the star and the single beam of light emanating through the single whole of it is bright enough to light up the fluorescent minerals that are have been incrusted at the base of the starlith. The Starlith, standing at the center of the town reunites the citizens of the town/city/citadel for the celebration.
