Archipelago of the Seasons

1970

The Archipelago of Seasons is a set of islands on the coast of Greenland. Each Island perpetually stays the same season, and the Islands go through order Spring, Winter, Autumn, and Summer. The Long names are the local names, and the short are the names given by the Japanese colonisers after the Sengoku Jidai, by their experiences with those respective Islands.   Spring: The Island of Spring is Rora (Reed Ivy), a forest land of Black trees and Neon plants. It is ruled by the Azure Dragon or Seiryu/Qinlong, the guardian of Spring and is the reason for its everlasting blooming of crops and flowers, making it a great place to get plants and crops and sorts.   Winter: Winter is Toro (Winter Hearth), an entire cold blanket of snow. It is ruled by the Black Warrior or Genbu/Xuanwu, where the militia and police force of the Archipelago train and inhabit the lands as warrior men. It is mainly filled with creatures who will put up a great fight if you want to get them.   Autumn: Autumn is Kayo (Fire Leaf), where every tree is maple, and each leaf has a sutra for a different spell. It is ruled by the White Tiger or Byakko/Baihu and is known for magic enhancement, metal production, and smithing.   Summer: Summer is Senshihechi (Mountain of Setting Sun), a land of mountains and hills which never have snowy peaks. It is ruled by the Vermillion Bird or Suzaku/Zhuque. Here there are Hitodama spirits that resemble fireballs and many shrines.
