The Brineclad

"I swear by me mum. It crawled on land, sideways, like a crab! It's massive claws tore into the buildings like it was Diestrian cheese! Breaking anything in their wake, while the cannons pounded these odd green eggs over the town. Ain't no man or beast I know which can control creatures like these."   - An old sailor being questioned about the disappearance of half a village in a fortnight

Metal and Barnacle

Once a mighty warship known as an Ironclad, the nicknamed Brineclad ship is an abyss corrupted vessel which was lost at sea during a storm. The ship is now completely covered in barnacles and seaweed with odd growth of crustacean on it. What was once a tailess steel boat, now have a massive tail of a lobster. Growth of shells and carpace around it's body form extra protection around it's combination of both organic and technological organs and wiring. It's cannons stick out of a crablike shell and two eyes which stick up from the sides of the control tower stand out along with it's six crablike legs and a couple of gargantuan clawed arms.   This grotesque monstrosity should not be alive, by any means of sensibility and law of reality. Yet this creature is proven sentient, in it's ability to not only descend underneath the surface like one massive crab. It is also capable of wandering up to land, with a sideways walk like any other of it's kin.

Cannons and Crustaceans

The Brineclad has several weapon systems aviable. The six cannons on top of the main deck would be covered by shells and attached to it with some weird organic substance, which much represents the same exoskeleton materials a shellfish would have around their own joints. These cannons don't fire lead either, but balls of similarly corrupted monstrosities onto enemies.   A few of these creatures plain explode on impact, spreadin toxic and acidic bile around them. Others just slam down on their carpace and suddenly rise up to feast on whomever is in close proximity to them. A rare few are even intelligent enough to utilize weapons and magic, guns included.   On the front, just underneath the observation tower and the creatures eyes, it has a massive frontal cannon which fires organic explosives of corrosive bile, which can be lethal to inhale. Yet seems to be harmless towards the ship's minions.   Lastly, the ship has a mortar around it's back. These mortars fire larger lobster-like monstrosities that stand three men tall with clippers that can cut a man in clean halves. Even with plate armour.

History

Nobody is sure how this horror of a vessel came to be, though the evidence of it's existance reigns in the destruction of several ports around the Frozen Sea. Not to mention the hundereds of reports from sailors and seaside citizens alike having laid their eyes on it.   The old Ironclad is said to have been lost in a storm once, according to Dyskhari military records. Along with it's crew and the captain Leximir Neumond, around fifteen years ago. Only recently has the ship with the same name designation as the lost one been designated. The Shipwrights Folley as the name was called had re-emerged from the depths. With it's entire crew still alive, not a soul missing. Or well, not a flesh vessel missing as the crew appear out of nowhere, all clad in brine, barnacle and odd growth of crustaceans. Hellbent on plunder and conquest, as pirates rather than privateers.   Even to this date, nobody has been able to stop the machinations of Captain Leximir and his terrible Brineclad. Even to this date, it still terrorizes the seas.
