Gnoll
When the werekin smells like a heap of shit, laughs like an annoyin' bastard and wants to chew the bones off your family and friends, it's time to stop runnin' and pick up the rifles to show these striped runts who's boss. -The leader of an angry village mobGnolls, otherwise known as werehyenas or hecklers due to their hideous laugher, are considered to be the most infamous of all the beastkin out there. They lightly resemble that of werewolves, but are far smaller with brighter yellow, orange and brown hues of fur rather than the common pitch black one found on the wolfmen. Unlike real werekin, they are unable to transform into their original form as they are either permanently cursed or born into beastkin. Their infamy comes from the destructive habits of the Gnoll. With claws sharper than most other creatures and a biteforce which can pierce clean through plate and still dig through an arm into the bone, they are terrible to battle in melee combat. Especially so as they are prone to carry various diseases. It does not help their case that they are far more aggressive than most other of their own ilk and are known to group up to attack any other race or tribe which does not belong to them. Their case isn't helped by the average tactics as well as culture developed by the Gnoll. They have such a disdain towards personal hygiene that even other beastkin such as Minotaur and Harpies take offense to their smell. They also die in heaps, as they can swiftly reproduce and repopulate their tribes only in the span of a few months, making them a hard to eradicate pest. Speaking of pests, as a race where most individuals end up being highly incompetent while a set few are dangerously clever, but one of their tactics to plunder and conquer is to dump the rotting corpses of their own fallen into enemy territory or their supplies to manifest disgusting plagues. The Gnoll are most often found in warmer regions of the world that can easily spread their corruption through the air, such as deserts and savannah regions. They are also well adapted to both mountain and forest terrain, with a few even making the jungles their home. Their greatest weaknesses are cold terrain or anywhere darker forces than themselves conspire, as the Gnolls are cravens that are just as quick to turn tails and retreat as soon as the notion of defeat comes to mind, as they are attacking a defenseless caravan.
