Ghoul
"I can hear their maddening growls at night. Crying out for the sweet release of death. Clawing on the constraints of life which still keeps them bound to our world. I feel terrible for any traveler foolish enough to embark on these roads alone." -An Oquitanian MerchantGhouls are what you get if you combine the traits of a bat with a zombified corpse. Their skin is bluish gray with only a few strands of hair on their heads, which sport ugly and batlike faces with poor milky eyes and large, almost elven ears. Their bodies look malnourished and frail, with hunched over forms that sport long and cruel claws for hands and feet. These creatures are a known product of corpses being alchemically imbued with a reagent of the V-mutation, which causes their souless husks to take on a living, vampiric form. Thus making them a bunch of unsentient, primal monstrosities who live only through the bond of their bloodlines. Though they can be controlled fully by the mere thought of their masters, from any distance no less, killing their vampire lord will ultimately cause the embraced ghouls to wither and die. Furthermore, a ghoul does not necessarily have to be dead. Some individuals that drink the blood from a vampire gain certain different powers, based on the vampire's bloodline. These people become the willing non-vampiric servants of a vampire, who also go by the term of ghoul, as on their expiration, they are bound to turn into one of the monsters at death.
