Arcasia

Arcasia is a world where the Gods disappeared. Their influence is still there but the Gods no longer appear. Occasionally the most faithful may experience a miracle, but most call it coincidence Throughout the land scattered stories and legends explain what happened but most people do not venture to these dark places.   After 3000 years since the Gods disappearance, the world is still trying to recover from the great catastrophe. Scholars travel the land seeking hidden knowledge that might explain the disappearance, but most just try to keep their little corner of the world safe. Different kingdoms tend to keep to themselves and only the travelers and merchants who wish to brave the spaces in between tend to spread the news of the world.   In recent years trade has picked up as the use of the sea become more popular as sailors brave to venture farther from the land and into new lands.   Those who are aware sense that something or someone is whispering in the wind causing events to shape the world for some nefarious purpose.
