Arcasia

Arcasia, also known as the The Factured Isles, is a strange place full of forgotten ruins, ancient beings, and magical oddities. Any explorer will soon discover that magic and the flow of time can work differently from isle to isle. Little is known of how the world was sundered, but most agree that the Fractured Isles are the aftermath of the last war waged by the old gods, all now dead or at least fragmented. One thing is certain, it is the blessing of Selungard the great World Tree and it's many massive roots that Arcasia is now held together. No civilizations truly survived the Sundering, but those few that have risen in their place must face the hardship of reclaiming lands now grown wild and dangerous. Unknown to any but suspected by a rare few, with the spilling of divine blood, the fractured isles have swelled unnaturally with new life and power. You have come to the city of Giant's Gate, in the Principality known as Regna. It has become a place of discovery and fortune. For here stands an ancient gateway that can send travelers across the isles. However, ominous forces have begun to stir and the gateway also provides a bridge for many an unnatural creature. Although the opportunity for wealth is abundant in Giant's Gate, living long enough to spend it may be the more difficult task.
