Giants look like modern humans in both body shape, complexion, and proportions except with heights impossible for any human to obtain. Complexion of primeval giants tends to range from light tan to deep brown. Their hair colors tend to dark, either black or brown, with the occasional blonde or red head. The differences between sexes is similar to humans with females being a bit paler on average and and their mass is distributed more to her hips and chest in counter to the males upper torso. The Oni clan of giants however are shorter and often have skin color in bright colors such as red or blue. Also unlike their primeval relatives, they are often born with either two or one horn growing from their foreheads. Many giants tend to have a solid stocky build though a few generations of giants born outside of their native lands are becoming a bit more proportionally leaner and lighter hair colors but otherwise retain their species characteristic traits.
Air Sacs: The body of a giant contains a system of air filled sacs, mainly in their bones. Pneumatic, hollow bones and other spaces in their bodies reduce the overall weight of their large frames. Most of these are present in the skull, vertebrae, and hips of giants. Proportional Vigor: Due to their size, Giants have a high degree of physical strength and endurance. They can withstand stronger physical blows and shrug off certain toxins due to their size. Regeneration Factor: Giants can passively regenerate wounds in a short time via biomagical reactions speeding up the process. The extent of this regeneration prevents the development of scar tissue and even regrow entire limbs within a few minutes to hours however these actions do not set any broken bones on its own. In addition, this magical trait is significantly slowed when the subject is increasingly exhausted or when exposed to substances that interfere with the process. Agelessness: Giants lack measurable symptoms of aging due to their cells' highly regenerative properties. As such giants do not weaken, slow down, or lose fertility with age giving them great longevity, potentially for centuries. However they are not deathless and will eventually die due to mortal injury, or disease beyond their regenerative capability.
Genetics and Reproduction
Regardless of their size, giants reproduce in the same fashion as other humanoids and Giantesses will be pregnant for 9 months before birth. Due to their size difference copulating with other humanoids is difficult to say the least, less so for oni. As such hybrids are rare, with many actually coming from unions with shapeshifters like spirits.
Growth Rate & Stages
A giants growth is like that of humans except slower in time yet larger in scale. From birth, primeval giants they tend to be 1.8 m (6 ft) and by adolescence typically 3.65 -4.57 m (12-15 ft) until puberty when they grow to adult sizes throughout their lives. Oni are the exception as they are born the same size as human children and grow up to be size of adolescent primeval giants.
Dietary Needs and Habits
As omnivores, a giant's lifestyle will mainly dictate what they will eat on a regular basis. Sedentary giants mainly eat whatever crops they can forage or grow and whatever animals they can hunt or fish. Nomadic giants will forage in the wilderness or work for food in whatever settlement they find themselves in.
Civilization and Culture
The acceptance of a division of labor based primarily on gender involves sharing the fruits of each other's work. For most giants, this results in women 540 kg-800 kg (1,200-1760 lbs.) the routine domestic household tasks such as cleaning and food preparation as well as child rearing. Men are usually responsible for the periodic household tasks requiring upper body strength and for work outside of the home. Most giants have a patriarchial society, where the father is the head of the household. Giant men generally strive to be confident, strong, dignified, brave men who should be overtly masculine and sexually active. They are expected to have a wife with many children and possibly one or more mistresses so men are usually assumed to be adulterous by nature. Giantess, in contrast, are expected to be passive in responding to the demands of their husbands and to have sexual intercourse only with them and only when they are married. In reality, both men and women giants deviate from these ideals however, women are usually more often socially punished for it. Androgynous men may only suffer ridicule for their failure to achieve their perceived social goals.
Average Technological Level
Giants large size make it hard for them to craft most things in their mountainous homes. Most can make some simple tools from natural materials like entire tree trunks or large boulders. Primevals are usually employed to work with natural or artificial material collected by other races but too large for them. Oni not only live near metal ore deposits but are much smaller, giving them better dexterity to craft with metal.
Common Dress Code
Fashion is no concern to Giants, as practically no clothes are large enough for them to wear, so they dress themselves with clothing made with whatever material they can sew or animal hides to protect their bodies from the elements. It is customary for Oni to dresss in tiger-striped clothes, as tigers are indigenous to where these giants live. Tiger skins became a symbol for strength overcoming the tigers, prompting many oni to kill tigers. Those who couldn't kill or find tigers, made cloth dyed with a tiger pattern which became popular in places where tigers are protected.
