Weapons of Malice

The weapons of malice are powerful artifacts created by the Teqo. Said to have been infused with the souls of ferocious criminals, these weapons grant their users great power at the cost of slowly corrupting the individuals.
The true purpose of these weapons was to house the experimental bloodied materia, a materia capable of summoning a perverted spectre of the individual who's soul was used to forge it.
The Scholars of Dawn have been searching for the Weapons of Malice for several decades after learning of their true purpose, and the bloodied materia socketed in each of the weapons which is said to have the power to summon spectres of the individuals that had their souls infused into the weapons during their creation.
