Aravia The Cage

Long ago in the dawning of the world, there shown Two points in the void. Before them was nothing and with them came everything. With their emergence came a dark entity. A shadow. The Destroyer. For long the two rested, created and forged worlds and stars, and spent time in each other's arms. All the while, The Destroyer hid and fed on the errant magics of the universe, gaining it's strength. When the time was right, it struck. The Two fought long and hard against The Destroyer, what planets were there were scattered like dust on the wind in the struggle between the three primordial forces. After a long fight the Two grew tired, having weakened The Destroyer. Unable to slay the monster, they formed a Cage to trap the beast.   The Destroyer is imprisoned inside Aravia, The Cage. The Lifestream encircles the planet, forming the true bars of The Destroyer's cage. The Lifestream branches out to other planets, leylines indicating life on other planets. The dual god Ma-Ru watches over The Cage, fostering and nurturing life.   The Lifestream is the source of life and rebirth. It is a natural element to the world and, as such, people try to use it to their advantage, trying to control and corrupt it as they will.   The world is a playground for powerful forces, ancient abominations, and eldritch entities. Magic is in every nook and cranny of the world and adventure awaits behind every crook in the road. There are arcane secrets that give birth to new powers and deadly monstrosities.   Power is ripe to be seized in the world, both magical and political, and there are plenty of people and things ready to seize it.   Aravia is an average size planet full of different cultures and creeds. As technology advances, magic becomes integrated more and more. With more access to the stars, exploration exploded. A boundless galaxy awaits whoever is willing to explore.
