Ottokath's Journal #24

General Summary

We arrived in Hasilla today. Oddly, even now to spirits remain silent. Even the usually ever wispering komada fail to heed me. Thinking back, I do believe to have always been aware of the fey I would summon, yet now even those are hard to feel. No matter. I will make do with what is dealt to me. I caught glimps of Hogar tearing up a contract Hamood had written up with him. Hamood should have known better to trust a pirate. Hogar's laughter echoed across the silent wind.   The others went to the inn. As much as I would usually relish such comforts and the benefits such places have, I was not feeling it. I headed for the local forest instead. I had to find my connection once more. The next morning, Tanz had vanished. I remember being angry with him, but forget the reason why. We spent a while searching, but fail to track him down. He eventually returned come evening. I proposed an adventure the next day. We would go to the local guild and look for work. They looked back at me in surprise. I wonder why.   Before we set of, we had a burial for Mutt. I seem to recall more specific details as to his wishes, but this is the best I'm prepared to do. To be buried in nature is lucky by itself.   The guild instructed us to track down a lost cart with valuables. We spent a couple of hours walking through the forest, still quiet. I found the path on my own. We came upon a group of Venatorii. They had the cart. We engaged them and I lit one of them up with spiritual fire, his armour glowing in the gloom. A wall of fire then blocked my field of vision, seperating us from Mavis. I willed it out of existence. I then noticed the individual trying to escape with the cart. I called out across the worlds, looking for allies. Something answered. They had been there for a while now, I'm sure, but now that I called on them I could feel them properly. These were hungrier than the ones I'm used to. Perfect for my purpose. The wolves that appeared tore in to the man with little remorse.   I must say, I enjoyed getting payed for this.
