A world recovering from the effects of a devastating war between gods around two hundred years from the present. The victors imprisoned their enemies in a secret, inescapable prison, then retreated from the world altogether. Meanwhile, their soldiers, left without direction, dispersed into the wind, eventually becoming the various races of the world.   Some wandered into distant lands, living wherever the wind carries them. These became the restless Soma, and they know no fear. Some dove deep into the seas. making nests near volcanic vents. These became the enigmatic Amni, and they make new fears. Last, but not least, the most devoted of these soldiers remained near the peaks of the highest mountains, hoping to hear even a whisper of their gods voice. These became the Kamn, and they feel every fear.   As their separation lengthened, the three races's magic become more and more distinct from one another. The Soma grew to favor magic of the earth and air, combining them to create floating fortresses that could rival a swift in flight. For the Amni, their will was sown into water and sound, enabling them to confuse and misdirect any enemy. As for the Kamn, their unwavering focus translated into a mastery of light and fire, enabling them to emulate the gods' destructive nature at will.
