Dhanû Idioms and Sayings

Every man or woman has at least one great treasure to give - their word.
— Dhanû saying
The people of Dhanû value poetry and song as much as they do skill at arms. A noble unskilled in witticism is considered incomplete and everyone in Dhanû know some catchy bit of wisdom. Poets spar as often as warriors do.
All Dhanûian art has a streak of fatalism to it and their idioms are no exceptions.
How can you trust someone who has never made a promise?
Dhanû society revolve around the concept of obligation and expectation. Everyone is owes something to someone and such debts can be social currency. Those who have sworn an oath and been seen upholding it are known as trustworthy.   Without any obligation to their name, the Dhanû do not know how to measure someone's character.

He wears many masks.
Masks are important in Dhanû society. They speak to who the wearer is and what they aspire to be, what beasts they channel in battle or virtues they hold dear. Abusing such customs come at a heavy social cost.   This saying is reserved to those who have multiple masks and is a condemnation of sorts - of lack of conviction, of indecisiveness and duplicity.

We were made without fangs nor claws, nor scale or hide to shield us. We made our own.
In places like Izhaso, the Dhanû butcher monsters and turn the parts into everything from arms and armor or everyday items. While all people in Araea use the creature who live in the caves to their fullest extent, few embrace it as fully as the Dhanû.   They take pride in their handiwork and every warrior aspires to own armor that is not simply functional, but a wonder to behold. Best of all is if they have themselves slain the beast used to make it.

Skalds

There is a strong tradition of storytelling in Dhanû, most often in the form of song or poetry. Skalds, or bards, are entertainers that keep these stories alive through generations. Skalds keep many of these stories and sayings alive, using them to teach, mock and praise.

I really like how this is formatted! I've been worried about the idioms and sayings prompt, unsure about how I wanted to represent the information. The way you've done it with quote boxes, images, and then a description -- really smart thinking! I really enjoy the sidebar of all the different bite-sized sayings as well.
