Red Desert of Ithia

The Red desert of Ithia is a massive crater in the center of eastern Ithia. Its vast desert is surrounded by jagged mountains, but civilization is able to thrive.

Location and Political Climate

The Red desert is in the center of the eastern region of Ithia, its area is within five diffrent country borders. From least to most, we have the Sultinate of Bolstan, the Holy state of Filan, the Morian Empire, the Kingdom of Pydon, and with almost half of its terriotry in the desert, the Brotherhood of Oshe. However even if the land of the dersert is in these 5 countries many of the people living in the desert only refer to themselves as The People of the Sun land.

History

In the Era of Gods there is no record of this massive desert, the kingdoms before spoke of the area being lush and full of life, untill around the year 4800 GE when the land stated to heat up and turn into the desert it is today.

Myth and Legend

A main theory of the location mysterious change is the idea of an elder dragon living under the sands, however no evidence of any cave or underground area has been found.

Culture and The People of the Sun land

The people and cultures found in the desert are very different then what's found on the rest of the continent, many fire elementals and earth elementals have found their homes here, along with many deserts other plane races.
The red desert is the only desert in all of Ar-Kros so its people consider it a very holy place. The residents of the desert often dont care for their countrys actuall king and instead follow the leader of the sudo-capital Nasa.
