Physical Description

General Physical Condition

She is the embodiment of verdant health.

Body Features

Gaia has the form of a Colossal tree. She looks like an enormous evergreen Loquat tree with creamy-white flowers in the winter and fruits in the spring. The tree bears oval, fist-sized fruit, orange with yellow striped fuzzy juicy fruit; the long elliptical leaves are 3 ft long and 1 1/2 ft wide, and they are made of a strong leathery material with radial ribs and a variegated green and yellow, rusty-color beneath.

Special abilities

Gaia has telepathy, arcane, and divine magic. She decides what skills people are good at and what talents they receive or need to pursue for the betterment of society. Since all the plants and animals are linked to the Mother Tree, their intelligence has been enhanced. In most instances the smaller they are, the smarter, this is not always the case.

Sick or old animals go to certain trees to share their life force with whoever is in need of food. When population expansion is too high the same thing happens (some sacrifice themselves so others can live). If no one needs the food, it is absorbed by the trees. These trees are called Funeral Trees.

She was lovingly carried and nurtured by a Tree-Kin from the The Fae Wild  and still has a link to her "Mother" on the other side of the portal.

Education

The Treekin that nurtured her also taught her as well as many of the Fae that has traveled from the Feywild. All occupants of Sylvania and any traveler that joins the "tree-net" also add their experiences to expand her knowledge.

Employment

Gaia is the Protector of the continent of Sylvania, she overseas this communal society. She is at the center of the forest and is the heart of society. There is also a Nexus for the Ley Lines as her heart, that connects all the trees together. She is the heart of a true communal society that is linked to the nearest tree and then to the Mother Tree so all know what needs to be done and does it without complaint.

Accomplishments & Achievements

She was grown to seal the interdimentional gate to the Fae Wild.

Intellectual Characteristics

She is very intelligent but not omnipotent. She embodies the life experiences of everyone that is linked to her and even has a link to her mother in the Fae Wild (she can access this knowledge at need). Every living thing that lives in her forest is linked to her; plants, animals, insects, and sentient humanoids that were raised there. Those from the outside need to link to her through a ceremony.

She has lived for centuries, even survived the Chaos Wars, and unless something extreme happens, she will continue living.

Her favorite animal is the squirrel-fox and awakened birds from Dinoterra. One of her hobbies is the creation of new animals or adaptations to current ones. She created tree spirits similar to Kodama to be her eyes and ears, they also show the health of the forest.

Her seed was transported from the Faewild. She was planted and nurtured until medium-size, then a ritual was performed to "seal" the portal from the Feywild to Aquatica, oddly she actually stabilized it instead of sealing it.
