Taranaki Territory

Teranaki is the northeast territory of Teranik, it is below the twin continents of Hy-Dracona.

Geography

This territory encompasses a lava river delta and a large volcanic island off the coast. The area is highly unstable, with constant tremors, earthquakes, volcanoes, sliding plates, subduction, rifts opening, and closing randomly. This is a very dangerous area. Much of this movement is from dueling elementals. The majority of the territory is a river delta, with canyons, cliffs, sinkholes, mesas. mountains, badlands, lava flows, volcanos, steam vents, etc.

Ecosystem

There is constant tectonic pressures here, mainly from the elementals vying for control of nature in the area. Each elemental has a territory, competing ones try to kill their competitors to gain their controlled area to gain more power.

Localized Phenomena

Oddly meteor showers, electrical storms, acid rain, tornadoes, water spouts, and other hazardous meteorological phenomena are attracted to the area.

Fauna & Flora

It is rampant with stone, fire, and shadow elementals, elemental, and shadowland creatures, and various others. Only a rare few natural creatures from Aquatic have survived here it is too inhospitable. It is the same with plants, only the strongest have survived, such as those that can live in and around volcanoes, steam vents, etc.

History

In the past, before the continent was overshadowed by the Planes. This was a beautiful river delta and island, there was still a volcano, but it was extinct. Everything else is different.

Tourism

This is area that the Fire Dwarf and Earth Dwarf commonly venture, to gather special materials for making weapons, armor, and jewlery.
