The Mu are human-like catfolk. They are sociable creatures but often lack social graces.

Anatomy

As any humanoid, with added feline features like whiskers, fangs, ears, and claws.

Biological Traits

The Mu are a shortlived race, aggressive, sociable and impulsive. Their lives aren't much different than their ancestors except that they are now tool users and warmakers.

Ecology and Habitats

Mu can live in almost any terrain type, although most Mu don't like the water. They prefer forests, hills or plains.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Mu are carnivores, they prefer meat for their health and strength. Depending on where they live on what type of meat is available.

Their society is similar to the Spartans in training and life. Might makes right and honor is all.

Domestication

The Atlanteans forcibly evolved the Mu from plains and forest-dwelling species of cats. This process changed them to humanoids, increased their aggression and intelligence.

Facial characteristics

Mu faces are more catlike than humans. They have broad cheeks, pointed nose, and chin, tall ears, whiskers, and fangs.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

The majority of Mu live on the Isle of Mystra. Mu can live in almost any terrain type, although most of them don't like the water. Small colonies developed wherever their were large battles during the Chaos Wars.

Average intelligence, but are impulsive with makes them appear to lack common sense.

Mu have lowlight vision and a rare few have darkvision.

Genders are treated as equals, in most ways.

Although, in most tribes, they are ruled by a Matriarch that is the mother of all. In these tribes, the females are the political rulers and landowners. The men hunt and fight. They are considered too hot-headed and impulsive to make important decisions.

A few tribes, like the Litorians, a Patriarch rules. The above roles are swapped, except that the men rule all and the women are relegated to the household and menial chores unless they show martial prowess.

The Atlanteans forbade them the use of technology. The highest technology level they had attained before the Chaos Wars was the Iron Age, of course since the fall of the Atlanteans they are now a Developing culture soon to achieve the Industrial Age.

Mu speak Muan, Lycan, and Atlantean. They think that it's beneath them to speak the language of those inferior to them.

Common Dress Code

They rarely wear more than a loincloth, except wearing armor when waging war.

History

They began as nomadic plains and forest cats that lived a simple life in the Now. Life only entailed eat, sleep and mate. Then the Atlanteans came and changed all that.

They were forcibly evolved by the Atlanteans to serve as shock troops and fill in the bulk of their elite army. Often they are mistaken for the Lycans but only have one form.

Mu are usually tall and thin, but there are plains tribes that call themselves Litorians that are very muscular and vicious.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

The terrain depends on their coloring. The most common colors are brown, tan, orange, and black. Often with solid colors, patches, rosettes, stripes or spots. Variations are always possible.
