Naming Traditions
Most Aerenois are only given first names, but for revered lines, they are given a surname as well. Surnames are usually the owners.
History
Since the raising of the Skylands, it has evolved many adaptations, including being able to "swim" through the air and gliding. Some are able to glide from place to place with the aid of a membrane similar to a flying squirrels patagium; while others have grown bat-like membranous wings stretching from their front leg to their rear. Neither of these allows for true flight, but with the use of low gravity, wind currents, and thermals, it is the closest they can get. They also have long tails, that can flatten so they can be used to steer while airborne. Their bones are also hollow./p]
Are rare few Aerenois have evolved the ability to mimic words, or even talk.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Their coat is usually fawn, mahogany, and black. They can vary greatly in appearance, as they were bred for function not form. The base color is fawn to mahogany and tan with a black mask and black ears with some degree of black tipping on the hairs, giving an overlay appearance. The color tends to be lighter with less black agouti or overlay on the dog's underside, breeching, and inner leg. White markings on the tips of the toes and the chest often show as well.
