Apotropeica

Earth, not too far into the future. In 2035, calamity worms its way into the multiverse once again, and it is up to the most surprisingly mundane civilians to save it. Apotropeica's multiverse is vast, containing many inhabited planets of various species. The story centers around magic, fantastical creatures, interdimensional shenanigans and what it would be like to save gods. Monsters and aliens live on the surface (and perhaps, below..?) of the earth, which doesn't come without its downsides. Fed up with the oppressive structures of the humans, large groups of these species flock to safe havens, created by charitable and hopeful leaders. Amongst these safe havens is Fogmere, the biggest city dedicated entirely to accommodate fantastical humanoids.
