Divine Vampire, Demon, or Demigod

A creature similar to what the modern era defines as a demigod or demon.
These extremely rare, powerful creatures were once mortal humans who led particularly tragic lives. They often retain their human appearance, though have much greater ability to manipulate their physical form than any other extant creature. They subsists on the human psyche - whether that be emotions, the soul itself, or something else entirely is unknown. Unlike their weaker brethren, they are not harmed by sunlight, though they are revealed by it. Also unlike other Supernaturals, they cannot be killed - at all. At least, not by any way that is known to humankind.
Divinity is transmitted by an extant demon to a human through extraordinary circumstances - usually characterized by a traumatic, lethal or near-death experience.
Demigods are extraordinarily powerful. In addition to the supernatural strength and abilities of vampires, demigods have the ability to warp reality itself - though to what extent is unknown. Demigods have often been the bearers of fate and misfortunate, the granters of wishes, and the devils of pacts.
