Jovian Sinew

Geography

The Sinew is the where everything arrives when it first enters the rift. It lies on a floating island, where some smaller (but still fairly large) rocks that orbit the island have had buildings built on them as well. The space between the Sinew and the rest of Aperture is small, only a few feet, but between the two there is only empty space; a slip or fall into it would be fatal.

Nothing grows on the island.

The island itself is rich in building materials and rare ores.
