Draconic
Spoken by dragons, dragonborn, kobolds and other beings with a lineage drawn from Seshare, The First Breath, Draconic is complex language found mostly on the continent of Xashare, though it is widely spoken in Girduar as well.
Though it is possible for other ancestries to speak, Draconic relies on detailed tongue movement and chuffing that is far easier for those with dragon-like snouts to imitate. Many dragons and dragonborn have also adopted a wordless component of the language, using the shapes of their scales to add context to specific sentiments. For example, a dragonborn could crack a joke to another of its kind while having a serious conversation with a human.
In written form, Draconic uses a mix of claw and burn marks that are often subtly different, making the alphabet difficult to interpret for those who have not studied it.
Because dragons can sometimes go centuries without seeing another dragon, there is a strict syntax and vocabulary; and the language itself changes at a much slower pace then others. This ensures that communication remains fairly easy between them. Dragons and dragonborn sometimes struggle to understand the concept of slang, as the stagnant nature of Draconic prevents an equivalent idea.
