Antiquerra

A typical fantasy world, reminiscent of Tolkien's Middle Earth or Paolini's... whatever his world is called. Honestly I read Eragon ages ago and don't remember all the details clearly but that's not important. What is important is that this is a world of different peoples and magic and cool creatures.   In this land there are humans, and beasts, and a lot of things in between. Although there are different societies coexisting, the main rivalries stem from the might of the dragons and the ingenuity of the humans.   Dragons try to consolidate their power and humans seek new allies in their fight. Alliances shift, trust is betrayed, and the war continues (although perhaps with less intensity than it had a couple of centuries ago). Still, there are very few creatures alive that remember how the conflict actually started. Factions are coming together in the hopes of ending the conflict once and for all, some seek a peaceful end though it might take longer to achieve, others simply wish to see one side finally reign victorious over the other, regardless of what that might entail.   It's pretty clichéd fantasy stuff but I enjoy it wholeheartedly.
