The Dimensional Jester

A creature of unknown origin encountered by Drake, Sol, and Callix at the conflux of the portal chain that they followed through Elysium and the Abyss. It resembles a small purple jester, though it always floats half a foot off the ground. Its mask was never removed, and it carried a heavy black tome that it repeatedly read from and referred to as "the Prognosticus". The creature showed an affinity for illusion magic, tricky, and dimensional manipulation. The version that the Fangs fought revealed itself to be something akin to an astral projection when slain, hinting that the creature itself was not truly defeated.
