Albion the Sealord

Albion Kelly (a.k.a. The Sealord)

Albion the Sealord was a legendary captain who lived in the Age of Susanne. He is considered as one of the founders of the Clannmaran culture.

Expedition to the edge of the world

In 650 Susanne Albion gathered a fleet in Truso and embarked on voyage that no one before him has ever attempted. His goal was to find out what lies beyond the Western Sea. Is it really the edge of the world? When the fleet was passing the western most lands of Atamor a massive storm started. Two ships were destroyed by the waves. Other were forced to head for the nearest island. Most ships arrived at the island in a very bad condition and were not seaworthy.
We left our homes to reach the edge of the world, but discovered this new land instead. Our ships are badly damaged or destroyed and we have no way of repairing them. We need to adapt. We are adventurers and pioneers! We will endure!
— Albion the Sealord speaking to the members of his fleet after reaching the island
Survivors of the expedition called the island they found "Mir" what meant "peace" in their language.

First Clannmarans

According to legends Albion founded the first Clannmaran settlements on Mir. The name Clannmara was given to him and his people by the primitive natives of the island and meant simply "Sea People". Tradition says that the Clannmaran culture is an amalgamation of the cultures of Albion's people and these natives.
