Shildrian
Geography
It is a nearly perfect sphere of hot plasma that is by far the most important source of energy for life on Earth. It is about 1.29 million kilometres in diameter. It accounts for about 98% of the total mass of the star system. Roughly three quarters of its mass consists of hydrogen (~73% the rest is mostly helium (~25%), with much smaller quantities of heavier elements, including oxygen, carbon, neon, and iron.
Shildrian is a G-type main-sequence star that formed approximately 4 billion years ago.
It currently fuses about 600 million tons of hydrogen into helium every second, converting 4 million tons of matter into energy every second as a result.
Fauna & Flora
It has one inhabitant: a god-like being who has the same name. It is generally believed that he inhabits the sun's core. This is also where the five Sky Lords were created.
Natural Resources
The star produces all of the light and heat for the singular inhabited planet in the system. It also forms the basis for An'katerr's calendar.
History
It's known to the residents of An'katerr only as the sun. It's proper name was lost to history long before the Beginning of Days. It's only in the years following the signing of the Coruscate Treaty that it began to be known in some small manner by its proper name.
It's unclear whether the star existed prior to Shildrian's existence or if they came into being at the same time. Perhaps the only one who could answer this question is Shildrian himself, but he isn't currently available for questioning. It was in concert with the god-like entity known as Imbria that the rest of the system came into being.
Tourism
At present, the inhabitants of An'katerr are incapable of space flight. Even a space capable people would find very little of interest to see on this burning orb of plasma. That's not to say the solar flares wouldn't be a fascinating sight but they'd be best enjoyed at a safe distance.
