Aneandros

Aneandros is a material plane that has served as a battleground for many beings. From otherworldly invaders to liches, the world has faced its fair share of threats. While in recent centuries no such threats have come around, the self-destruction of civilizations is inevitable. As a world that has always had an enemy; not having one is the worst outcome.   Some countries have attempted to seize control of other nations, seeing them as too weak to fend off the powerful foes that lay in wait. Yet some have forgotten bastions of knowledge that helped defeat previous invasions. New cities have arisen and some old have fallen. Yet some invaders bide their time, some taking the lost weaponry that was used to defeat them.   While general turmoil is not rampant, quiet discord and a sense of dread are filling more of the air of Aneandros. Is there another invasion bound, are there secrets under the soil that answer why this plane is so sought after? Perhaps some shall discover the answer... Or die trying.
