The long war

A team of dwarven diggers under the leadership of Mason Karak encountered a strange fleshy membrane deep within the earth, unknowingly deeper than any other Dwarf has delved before. Further investigation is halted by the arrival of the then Lady of the Underlands, who, sensing danger, attempted to seal it away. Before she could do so, the membrane tore open and from it emerged a great Demonic Creature, henceforth referred to as That Which is Without a Name or The Demon   The Demon proceeded to battle with the Lady of the Underlands, who being a powerful Lady in her element should have proved a fierce foe. Yet she was barely able to constrain him to give a few of the Dwarves including Karak to escape before she was slain by The Demon. Unknowingly she would be the first of many.    This marks the birth of The Deep One
