World History

When the nameless one created the world, this was before time passed. Unending, the nameless one worked tirelessly on the Samagri. Years would pass before Iyem would be brought into existence. Iyem contemplated the battle with Agtodeir for a hundred years before resolving the inevitable conclusion. The sealing would mark the beginning of time as Agtodeir awaited the final conclusion. When Zamigdral awoke, seven years would pass before Zamigdral would awaken. Zamigdral would work the world for sixty years. In these years, she would create the plants and trees, fill the oceans, and cause the elements to stir to life. For fifty years more she would rest in her creations when she was alone.   At the end of this fifty years, one-hundred and seventeen years after Zamigdral awoke, Osgolip stirred. In the first hour, he ate of the grass that Zamigdral had made. For thirty six years, Osgolip created beasts to eat the flowers of the fields, drink from the waters of the ocean, and break the bark of the forests.   At one-hundred fifty years after Zamigdral awoke, Shuna walked among them. Twenty years he would watch the beasts and learn the ways of the world. After this, he would craft his great predators. Fourty-four years would pass before Osgolip would fashion Shodar to defend his creations. Thus, two-hundred twenty four years after Zamigdral awoke, the Ashun were brought into the world.   Tala would watch Shodar for twenty years, wallowing in her loneliness, before she would charm Shodar. And thus it would be two-hundred fourty-four years that the Children of the Tala came into the world. And it was in that time that Tala awakened the Gem of Power within her children. In that time, the world grew without bounds. Creatures swept over the world and fought for dominance. The Children of Tala wandered across the face of the planet, being aimless with powers they did not understand. Around this time, Shkami would release a pestilence on the Children of Tala. Tala would instruct the Ashun to eat the fruits and meats and drink from the waters. This was the first time that there was any indication that the Children of Tala had actually been instructed to eat. It is, in fact, such that Tala had provided essence from herself to the Ashun. By Tala instructing the Ashun to go eat was one of the first instances that it was understood that the parallel and sovereign are distinct. And while the sovereign may survive on essence, the parallel requires worldly sustainance. Fruits and meats provide both. Fifteen years after this, Vinima would strike down Shodar. And after two-hundred fifty-nine years, Osgolip would descend into the Plane of Agony.   One-thousand eight-hundred and sixty two years would pass. During this time, the Taladin, the Ashun, the Beasts, and the Heirs multiplied. During this time Osgolip would build his demonic horde. Thus, at two-thousand one-hundred and six years, Osgolip would unleash his hordes from the Folding Ruin. And the world burned for six-hundred and twelve years. And a great number of the Children of Tala were killed. Zamigdral's fury would sweep countless numbers of the Children of Tala out by the ocean to distant places. And these Children could not find Aven's light and were forgotten. The portal to the plane of Agony was closed. Isfa was established by Illiam Castell. The Seat of Order begins to take root. The tribes of Gamju wander in the desert. And Zamigdral falls asleep.   And two-thousand seven-hundred eight years after Zamigdral awoke, the Children of Tala began to seek powerful gifts to sedate the hunger within them. Taladin venture across the world pursuing the Heirs. Mashangist is established by ambitious people, leaning on themselves. The Shunarites are created. Nehlennia was constructed and abandoned. After three-hundred and fifty-four years, Tala mourned that her children forgot her. And beside her was Anlienissa in her youth. But Anlienissa could not save Tala from her depression. And after three-thousand seventy-two years after Zamigdral awoke, Tala descended into Agony. Shkami confounds language. The Ush are transfigured. Luam Cathwa is founded. Many Shunarites attempt to return to Haralon, but are rejected. The tribes of the Shunarites settle in the Bloodplains.   In those days, the people had begun to work the fields and cut the trees. Families built homes and monarchs claimed the land. And after twelve years, Anlienissa called the people together. And three-thousand eighty-four years after Zamigdral awoke, Anlienissa became Matriarch of the Taladin. Around that time, most of the people that had wandered across the world forgot that they were Children of Tala. And lost peoples forgot their origins. those given gifts learned new works. And people magnified themselves.   And after fifty years being matriach, Anlienisse called her companion Aerenn. And together they formed a child within Aerenn. Anlienisse would call that child Zagros. Anlienisse withers as Aerenn becomes the second Matriarch. Haralon is established and begins to prosper. Zagros is not born for another seventy years.   Aerenn withers and Zagros is born from the remains of Aerenn. At age twelve, Zagros declares Haralon a patriarchy and becomes the first patriarch. Zagros begins to build an army. Deserters settle in Nehlennia and name it Mustanir.   Zagros pursues battle with Mashangist and Isfa. Both yield to Zagros. Zagros' armies will not fight a pacified people. Zagros condemns his armies. He gathers his loyal followers and destroys several cities. He ventures to Mashangist and is pushed back. Zagros disappears into the Folding Ruin. Thus, after three-thousand two-hundred and eighty four years after Zamigdral awoke, Zagros vanishes. The second patriarch of Haralon promises peace. People lose faith in Tala.   The Bloodplains   At two-thousand seven-hundred eight years after Zamigdral awoke, Children of Tala would pursue gifts from the Heirs. The Children of Tala that would pursue the gifts from Shuna would later become Shunarites. The Shunarites are distinct from the many of the other races because Shuna gave many gifts that changed the people in unique ways. This differs from those that received the gifts from the other Heirs, since only one variation is observed.   To find Shuna, the Children of Tala follow the tracks of the titans. The titans were large creatures that had roamed the world during the one-thousand eight-hundred and sixty two years expanse. Such titans include Salamander, Periangelus, Aeragran, and Melanagras. At two-thousand seven-hundred eight years after Zamigdral awoke, the Children of Tala pursued the titans to find Shuna. While many of the Children of Tala would perish in this pursuit, the eventuality of Shunarites would come to pass. This would occur during the following three-hundred and fifty-four year period, resulting in each of the Shunarite races. While these races are derogatorily called, "Beast-men", they are simply Children of Shuna that have been transfigured in a way. Generally, an ease between the races would occur during "The Settling".   After the Shunarites received their gifts, many of their kind sought to return to the land that would be Haralon. However, before the Settling, Shunarites were perceived as demons, having "the appearance of the Taladin, but twisted and changed. Heads of lions, bodies of serpents, wings of eagles, or legs of a goat. The hordes return!" This would result in battles that occur at the territory that would later become Mashangist. Many of the Shunarites would temporarily settle in Luam Cathwa, but being rejected by the Children of Tala took a heavy toll of the minds of the Shunarites. As tribal disagreements flared, the original settlers of Luam Cathwa, the dragonborn, would drive out the Children of Tala. The Shunarites who had previously left the Ka'ada'gok, would return.   The Ka'ada'gok represents a territory of nearly two-million square miles. During the period, the Shunarites numbered nearly twenty-thousand. As the Shunarites returned to the Ka'ada'gok, each of the races would separate themselves. The expansive territory would mean that tribal conflicts would be rare and small. Around the time that Anlienisse become the Matriarch of the Children of Tala, the Shunarites would number nearly one-hundred thousand. The rapid growth of the Shunarites indicates that the tribes had largely turned inward to their tribal cultures. Those that focused on building permanent settlements, such as the Ush or the Orcs, would have the largest population growths. The combative, raiding tribes, such as the Gnolls, would see the least amount of growth.   But there is a point of contention among scholars that the Ush are not actually Shunarites, though their appearance suggests that they are. In fact, the Ush were Children of Tala that had witnessed the ritual Shkami had performed to confound the words of the Taladin. In order to prevent the Ush from repeating the ritual, Shkami sought to destroy those of the Children of Tala. However, Shkami could, for whatever, wield the power to kill the Children of Tala. Instead, Shkami transfigured these Taladin into, "forms of a bird, black as the void. Without voices, without words, I cast them aside." The Ush remained bound by the curse. Thus, the Ush would learn to communicate through gestures. Thus, the Ush are not precisely Shunarites, though their origins and location often mean that they are closely associated, if not equivalent.
