Whirling to Life

"I can't fly, you dare to say? How about I show you how high I can?"
The principle of flying seems rather ridiculous if you consider the physical process versus the use of magic. I can, for instance, imagine flying in the air propelled by some invisible for that I create, or is created for me. I cannot, however, imagine that a creature with wings is able to step on the air and carry itself upward. Similarly, I can consider the elemental origins. Elemental air is present in nearly all things, yet all things don't float. In fact, some things where elemental air is proportionally large is heavier than some things in which air is less dominant. Thus, I have been perplexed for most of my life.
It was investigations into elemental air that would eventually ease my mind. I had pondered for many years thinking about the association between elemental air and flying. Yet, I was always stopped at the fringe of a breakthrough. But, along came elemental fire.
Elemental air appears to be an elemental that likes to flow and is chaotic. Fire, on the other hand, likes to divide or push apart. Thus, what happens when fire interacts with air? The fire pushes the air! The fire breaks the air apart and the air wants to move. So it breaks away from that other part. But, air is smooth and doesn't remain apart that easy. So, if it can't get away, it will come together. No matter how many times you do this, the result will be the same. But if you do it too much, you might burst the vessel!
So, I repeat what I said about some force pushing me up? What about the power of the fire and air? The fire breaks the air. The newly freed air moves away as quick as it can before joining together again. The moving air pushes me! Thus, I can fly! I'm going to try this.
