Lakeweave Silkspinner

Deep in the lake adjacent to the Northwood Aquameasure, treasures of the world emerge from the sunken deposits. The slender reels of otherworldly silk dance in the mild currents stirring at the base of the mountains. For generations, the plants continued to multiply without disturbance. Expeditions to the north, following towards Nugnur's pass met the cradle of gathered water and made camp. Herbalists in the company were quick to take note of the remnants of overgrowth that had washed woven shores. The news spread quickly as weavers across the country demanded the precious material unseen elsewhere.   The Northwood Aquameasure, the community formed by Isfa to monitor the growth of this strange material became a settlement in the scenic woodlands with ample access to fresh water. The community grew, numbering nearly two-thousand at the last counting. While the community is large, the people are nestled into the walled fort whose primary function is to keep track of the waters and preserve the resource. The aquameasure is an expansive construct who tower reaches nearly one-hundred feet into the air. All other buildings in the settlement have been added to this central structure. As such, the settlement is peculiar in that many buildings are built taller than traditional settlements, with residences built atop one another.   The school of enchanting housed in Isfa took note of the ability of the material to retain enchantments beyond that of silk harvested by silkworms. The vested interest grows considerably. As the material is control and traded, the livelihood of the entire community is dependent on the demand for the resource. They maintain the growth and protect the land with ferocity akin to druids. No farms or pastures have taken root in the Northwood, lest the runoff contaminate the lake and destroy the habitat.
