Governor General Reginald Wixton

Governor General Reginald Wixton is the 12th Governor General of the British Imperial Colony of Hong Kong. Having taken his position in 1883, he is the second oldest royal officer still in charge of some form of the British Government, second only to Governor General Chelsea Astor. During his tenure as Governor General, the city of Hong Kong has exploded in size, expanding from a small military base owned by the British to one of the largest, and certainly the most prosperous, British overseas colony in existence. His Governorship has come under scrutiny as of late by some in the opposition party in Government over his extended rule as Governor General. There are those who question his increasingly older appearance and ability to rule, but the ruling government in London has refused to remove him from his position. Unlike his colleague and brother in Singapore, he is notably well-prepared for his meetings and many argue that he is "more spontaneous and vivacious" in private.
